Come along to the inaugural Wilderness Society Boxing Day sailing event. The Wilderness Society is having a sailing event to coincide with the start of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The Kimberley’s extraordinary natural beauty and cultural heritage are under threat from an industry that disrespects Australian’s love for the region. We’ll have all kinds of boats flying banners and flags to promote The Kimberley: Beautiful, Unique, Threatened. We’re having a barge leading the flotilla, playing music with people dancing on deck in marine outfits. We’re having a free BBQ & entertainment at Chowder Bay for anyone who wants to come along. It’s going to be a huge recovery party after we’ve all stuffed ourselves senseless on Christmas Day. Come early for the very best harbourside spots! Join us to bring the stunning beauty of the Kimberley region to Sydney, to stand in solidarity with the people of Broome against the start of the industrialisation of area from the James Price Point gas hub.
